This study is the purpose of this study is to help improve the competitiveness of the skin care industry by examining factors such as cost, effect, and re-purchase according to the level of satisfaction after the purchase. To collect data, women in their 20s to 60s living in Seoul who visit esthetic shop were surveyed from October 15th, 2014 to March 2nd, 2015 using a questionnaire, 138 copies of which were used for the analysis. SPSS 18.0 were used to statistically analyze collected data and conduct frequency analysis, Cronbach’s, One-way analysis of variance and Chi-Square Test. The results were as follows. First, as it relates to differences in consumption patterns of cosmetics depending on the level of interest in professional cosmetics, differences depending on the location of the purchase, cost, and considerations when purchasing were meaningful. On the other hand, factors such as professional cosmetic brand, initial period of using cosmetic, interest areas at the time of the purchase, and motives leading to the initial use showed nonsignificant at the 5% significance level. Second, when it comes to the level of satisfaction involved with the purchase depending on the interest in professional cosmetics, there was a significant difference in terms of costs of professional cosmetics. In terms of the level of satisfaction on the effects of professional cosmetics, there was a significant difference involving nutrition & moisturizing. There was also a meaningful difference in the satisfaction level on the level of expertise of skin care specialists.
