The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of career plateau and the extent to which tourism employees perceive career stagnation. The specific research questions were as follows First, to find out if there is a new paradigm that has been analyzed in phenomenological studies of career plateau. Second. To find out if there is a congruence between the solutions to career plateau in quantitative studies and phenomenological analysis methods. Third. To explore ways to recognize career plateau. The phenomenological analysis revealed three themes of career plateau. It consists of continuous learning for inner growth, opportunities for career success, and recognizing social and entrepreneurial problems. We identified a paradigm in which the phenomenon of career plateau is important, but it is more important to support personal growth. The most important challenge is to prevent employees from perceiving Job content plateau. There are many social and organizational barriers to career stagnation. Companies need to help employees grow and remove obstacles.
