This study focused on the innovative changes facing the sporting goods industry and sought to achieve the purpose of exploring ways to strengthen the competitiveness of the Korean sports industry and globalize it by illuminating future values. The research method used content analysis to collect and compare and analyze data from academic papers, industrial reports, and news media articles related to the topic from January 2018 to December 2023, and found the following results:
First, in a situation where competition among global sporting goods companies is fierce, research is needed on ways to innovate domestic sporting goods in response to the rapidly changing digital technology convergence. In addition, there is an urgent need to develop environmentally friendly sporting goods that cooperate in strengthening government regulations to limit temperature rise in accordance with the UN"s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which are a common international goal for environmental issues. In addition, there is a need to shed light on the expansion of silver sports products by applying biomechanics technology that takes into account the structure and movement of the elderly.
Second, If we use our physical education understanding to focus on the convergence of sporting goods with the digital, environmental and silver industries, we can see that these are not areas from which we are excluded, but rather opportunities to actively participate in the development of the sporting goods industry as actors with sporting experience. Sporting goods are highly utilised in the sporting industry, so it is important for physical education to explore these areas in depth.
