The purpose of this study is to estimate the effect of feed type on the carcass grade of Hanwoo steers. For the analysis 7,617 Hanwoo steers slaughtered data from 2019 to 2021 were used, and the types of feeds were self-mixed TMR, TMR, and concentrated feed. A bivariate ordered probit model was used to consider the endogeneity between meat quality and meat quantity grades. The results show that self-mixed TMR was to improve meat quality grade more than TMR and concentrated feed. In the meat quantity grade, self-mixed TMR and TMR were to improve meat quantity more than concentrated feed. The results also indicate that in meat quality grades, the number of participation in rearing training, slaughter rearing months, and slaughter in the fall of Hanwoo improved meat quality grades. In meat quantity grade, younger age farmers, avoided winter slaughter, and shorter rearing periods were found to improve meat quantity grade. In addition, each EPD genetic trait was found to affect Hanwoo meat quality grade and meat quantity grade. The results of this study may contribute to improving the profitability of Hanwoo farmers' and provide useful information on the government's Hanwoo production policy.
