Objective: The purpose of this study is to derive harmful risk factors that may occur during the operation of an urban logistics system, evaluate and analyze the risk factors, and propose a system that requires proactive prevention.
Background: Globally, the digital technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution is being applied to the logistics industry, requiring innovative changes in the logistics system. The need for research on underground logistics systems utilizing urban railways is increasing due to social problems such as traffic congestion and inconvenience, as well as problems such as increased burden on couriers due to increased delivery costs. However, the analysis of harmful risk factors that must be considered when building a new system is still insufficient.
Method: This study derived harmful risk factors that may occur during system operation based on the results of analysis of the operation scenario of the urban underground logistics system. Harmful risk factors were classified by referring to KOSHA-GUIDE and the Ministry of Employment and Labor"s Guide to Creating Industrial Accident Occurrence Records. Afterwards, the relevant risk factors were classified through 4M risk assessment and evaluation item analysis, and frequency analysis was performed to analyze systems in need of prevention and suggest improvement measures.
Results: In urban underground logistics scenarios, harmful risk factors such as musculoskeletal disorders, getting caught, and falling are classified through 4M analysis, and improvements to prevent accidents, safety education, and technology development are determined by considering collisions with AGVs and risks in the cargo loading process suggested. Additionally, we sought ways to increase the safety of the working environment and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and accidents..
Conclusion: This study classified and analyzed harmful risk factors that may occur in urban underground logistics scenarios using 4M risk assessment and proposed a system for accident prevention. This is expected to contribute to improving the safety and efficient construction of the urban logistics system.
