With the growing size of one-person media market and the importance of contents development for one-person media, many universities in Korea has been implementing various policies including training programs, competitions, and support funds related to one-person media contents creation for their faculties and students; this provides the opportunity to achieve qualitative improvement in teaching and learning within the institution as well as to innovate education for undergraduate students to follow the current trend. However, the support strategies for one-person media contents observed in case studies and previous research tends to represent one-time educational programs and spend large sums on equipment rental or environment structuring, which limits the participants’ growth as creators. This study focuses on strategies to overcome the shortcomings of existing development aid projects for one-person media contents to provide more effective methods for nurturing creators in university. In order to achieve the above objectives, it aims to develop support strategies for one-person media and verify their effectiveness. This study adopted design and development research and utilized it by the following procedure. First, a literature review and needs analysis were conducted for the initial strategies for one-person media, followed by an expert usability test and a validation process. Five individuals, including those working in the Center of Teaching and Learning and those with expertise in video making, were invited to perform the professional validation process. In the case of external validation, five individuals including professors and undergraduate students were involved. As a result of the study, one-person media can be largely divided into three parts (planning, execution, evaluation). A support strategy consists of sections including principles and a support guide and a total of 10 strategies, and 18 detailed guidelines were developed. The validation performed by individuals at universities such as faculty members and students (including graduate students), who were the final beneficiaries, proved that the strategy provided in this research was effective in developing one-person media contents.
