This study aims to suggest ways to improve the retirement athlete support program. As the age changes, lifestyles and values change as well, and younger generations need new and diverse needs to adapt to society after athletes. Therefore, in this study, we try to grasp the changing business trend by comparatively analyzing the domestic and overseas retirement athlete support projects. In addition, I would like to suggest ways to improve the direction and improvement of the business that meets the needs of each individual, by collecting various opinions of the active and the retiring athletes, who are the executives and beneficiaries of domestic retirement. First, it is necessary to shift from career support after retirement focused on retired athletes to career development support of athletes. Second, it is necessary to build a support system through institutional linkage and efficient role allocation in the fragmented and segmented support system. Third, it is necessary to shift from the passive one-way support of old-fashioned method (lecture, counseling, etc.) to active two-way communication platform. Finally, it is necessary to expand the support for comprehensive program for career change by linking the capacity and resources of the sports association to the support of the fragmentary education and training program for employment.
