Because of ''lack of awareness'' and ‘limitation of manpower and budget’, it continues to damage the sports legacy of past. Then the establishment of the Korea National Sports Museum has been proposed for its alternatives. This paper proposes for a policy for the Korea Model Sports Museum, including not only universality that general museum should have, but also particularity of the Korea Sports. Korea Model Sports Museum has to presented the role of ‘providing information’ and ‘cultural industry based’, ‘a promotion and research’ etc. And the function of Korea Model Sports Museum includes ‘collection of sports legacy’, ‘research’, ‘exhibition’, ‘education’, ‘information provision’ etc. Building strategy of the Korea Model Sports Museum is devided into three components : vision, mission, strategy and detailed tasks. The vision of the Korea Model Sports Museum is a ''building a complex that communicating and developing sports cultures’, missions of Korea Model Sports Museum are ''enhancing sport culture’, ‘growing of sportsman’s pride’, ‘enhancing general citizen’s recognition for sports’, ‘derivating cultural values on sports’. Finally, We propose four strategies for developing Korea Model Sports Museum which are constructing for Korea''s landmarks, sport heritage management hub, offering the sport cultural playground for people and installing a platform for the multiplex cultural space. More research is needed to specify the Korea Model Sports Museum.
