The fire generator is increasingly increasing.Accordingly, the importance of digestive products that enables rapid initial response to fire. However, modern fire extinguishing products focus on interior functions rather than disaster prevention functions. Our paper derives problems based on identifying the preference of these modern fire extinguisher designs and proposes design directions for improving fire extinguisher design. In this paper, the fire extinguisher is divided into morphological, aesthetic, and functional elements. Data collection secured indicators of more than 50 people through online surveys. As a result of the survey, the importance of education on the arrangement of fire extinguishers emerged, and education on how to use fire extinguishers was more important than improving how to use them. As for the perception of fire extinguishers, red fire extinguishers are the most preferred, and the recognition rate was high when chroma and brightness were high. Since it is found that the visibility of fire extinguishers currently deployed in society is often low, it is necessary to improve the design of fire extinguishers. In addition, there are currently no special legal regulations on fire extinguisher design, so it is necessary to create new regulations.
