This research aims to identify the usage and demands of the facility users and operators to suggest desirable directions of improvement of national and public Senior Centers (GyungRoDang) Facilities. The research subjects were the operators and users of 31 facilities located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and for the research method, interviews were carried out using the questionnaire I developed. The research findings are as follows. (1) 52 percent of the facilities open from Monday to Sunday, 365 days a year, and the rest of them open from Monday to Friday, or From Monday to Saturday. (2) The services available in the facilities included lunch meal service (94%), a variety of programs, and education; the items with highest frequency of use and demand were the meal service and checking exercise and health of users (76%), followed by rubdown and massage (34%). (3) The fixtures and equipment installed in the facilities were all similar, generally including TV, phones, fire extinguishers, air conditioners for cooling, refrigerators, Kimchi refrigerators, karaoke machines, athletic equipment, massage chairs, and so on. Hwatu(flower cards) was provided in most of the facilities. (4) As for government support, they are supporting heating and cooling costs and grains for meals. (5) The operators' demands included improving the lack of operational costs and the facility space. (6) The users' demands included improving the insufficiency of space dimensions, and changing to the western style environment.
