This study aimed to develop a measurement scale for measuring airline employees" self-determination or self-realization based on self-determination theory. A survey was conducted on airline employees, and 450 responses were used for analysis. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed using SPSS 25 and Amos 21 to derive the goodness of fit. Based on the 18 preliminary self-realization tendency items, three factors with a total of 18 items were extracted through exploratory factor analysis. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the three factors with 18 items were well-suited for the measurement model. The validity analysis of the final measurement scale resulted in good convergent validity. The self-realization tendency measurement tool developed in this study can measure the psychological state of airline employees, and individual psychological support can be provided based on this scale. Also, the analysis of variance conducted to examine differences based on the affiliation of respondents (full-time employees of the airline, employees of a subsidiary, employees of a partner company) revealed statistically significant results for affiliation.
