The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems and prospects of domestic medical tourism. In addition, understanding the importance of improving the level of domestic medical services and marketing products helps to develop domestic medical tourism. This study was conducted as a focus group, and the opinions of 10 people who have experienced domestic medical tourism are summarized as follows: It is very important to be able to experience high-quality medical technology through domestic medical tourism. In addition, medical tourists were satisfied that there were many amenities near the hospital and they could have a good time. However, many medical tourists mentioned that communication problems must be solved. Some hospitals hire interpreters to help them communicate with patients, but many hospitals mention that patients are uncomfortable because the problem of interpretation has not been solved. Meanwhile, it was found that it is very important to inform foreigners of the subdivided medical services provided by hospitals. Many high-quality hospitals in Korea are located in large cities and they are convenient for foreigners to use, and they are found to be satisfied with friendly services and various medical facilities. Overseas medical tourists feel satisfied with domestic medical services and are willing to revisit them. Thus, they need to continue to invest and pay attention to medical tourism in the future.
