This study aims to categorize the perception type of caring robots and compare the differences in perception for each type with the advent of super-aged society. For this purpose, by using the Q methodology, the study examine the perception of care robots among the elderly users, their families, and care service workers, who are representative stakeholders of caring robots. Looking at the derived types, the perception of care robots coexisted with both positive and negative aspects, suggesting that the types of recognition can be diverse. The four types derived were divided into unavoidable substitute recognition type, complementary partner recognition type, inferior auxiliary product recognition type, and incomplete competitor recognition type. The type of recognition as an unavoidable substitute with the highest explanatory power showed an attitude that fully recognized the need for care robots and needed preparation in preparation for the increase in social demand. According to this type, the need to understand the difference in perception of care robots and to approach caregivers and caretakers has been raised. Furthermore, it is important to create a social environment that accepts artificial intelligence technology throughout society in order for new changes due to technological progress in the initial market of care robots to solve the social problem of the care gap.
