This study sought to use the Q methodology in identifying nursing college students’ perception types of biomedical ethics, and to understand and explain the characteristics of each type. Based on previous papers, 35 Q statement sentences were derived. Then, ten students by school year from first graders to fourth graders in K university’s nursing department were selected, and a total of 40 subjects were defined as the P sample, and underwent Q sorting. Using the QUANL program, the survey results were analyzed to classify the subjects into five types. The first type was named the realistic perception type, the second type the experiential perception type, the third type the altruistic perception type, the fourth type the moral perception type, and the fifth type the rationalistic perception type. The findings of this study are expected to serve as the basic data to develop educational programs designed for boosting nursing college students’ biomedical perception.
