This study aims to theoretically examine the empathetic speech and listening method and to find the content and practical application of the empathetic speech and listening method necessary for dance education. Dance education tends to emphasize movement education and expressive characteristics based on practical skills in many parts, so there is a tendency to neglect or overlook the part related to verbal communication. Even in dance practical education, communication between instructors and learners is important because not only the delivery of meaning with students but also empathy, sharing, and psychological communication are required before improving physical function and expression. Therefore, even in dance classes, it is necessary to understand the empathy method and look at how to apply and construct the concept in the class. Empathetic speech was largely divided into three categories. We tried to propose the contents by dividing them into mindfulness, linguistic, and non-verbal aspects, and to deal with the applicability of this. It is hoped that it will have a significant impact as a basic study to enhance empathy speech for dance teachers, even if it is weak.
