The change in culture and arts education paradigm, which deals with local cultural autonomy as a core issue, demands new tasks and roles from various key players surrounding culture and arts education. This suggests the importance of establishing a healthy local culture and arts education ecosystem through the cooperation of human resources who understand the local situation best. Among them, this study focused on the network of teaching artists, who are the main player in culture and arts education. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the case of establishing a network of teaching artists in Seongnam and to contribute to the establishment of a healthy culture and arts education ecosystem in the region by deriving the meaning and implications of the teaching artists network based on this. As a result, the art educator network can protect rights and interests through the solidarity of art educators and caring for each other, promote re-positioning of the role of art educators in the era of regional cultural decentralization, and further serve as an alternative to re-. It was also suggested that for the sustainable development of the network, it is necessary to have a public interest purpose and vision, maintain independence and complementary balance in relationships with institutions, and have a democratic structure but play a role as a leader.
