The purpose of this study is to compare the lower extremity muscle power (anaerobic power, isokinetic muscle power) and core stability of excellent and non-excellent Taekwondo vertical axis rotational breaking athletes. Taekwondo"s breaking event has recently become an official sport, and the rules have been revised and competitions are being held. However, as research on participating athletes is very insufficient, we aim to contribute to the development of training methods and technology to improve performance by presenting a detailed analysis of professional techniques to breaking athletes. This study consisted of a total of 12 people, 6 excellent players and 6 non-excellent players. Wingate equipment was used for anaerobic power, Cybex was used for isokinetic muscle power, and Centaur was used for core stability. Because there were not many participants, the Mann-Whitney U test, a non-parametric test, was conducted. The statistical significance level was set at α=.05. The conclusions based on the study are as follows. It was confirmed that the excellent athletes were statistically significantly superior in all factors of anaerobic power between excellent and non-excellent Taekwondo vertical axis rotational breaking athletes, and that there was a difference in isokinetic muscle power in the flexor muscles of both feet and the extensor muscles of the right foot. . No significant differences were found in all eight directions of core stability.
