Building a resilient supply chain in a volatile business environment is an effective means for companies to create and sustain a competitive advantage. Existing research has validated numerous factors influencing supply chain resilience. However, it is not clear how flexibly different information technologies should be used in a firm to facilitate supply chain integration and thus improve supply chain resilience. This study analyzed survey data from 114 Chinese firms to investigate the impact of ambidextrous IT use (exploitative and explorative) on supply chain integration and resilience. These results confirm that firms" ambidextrous IT use positively impacts supply chain internal and external integration and that which further contributes to resilience. In addition, the internal integration of supply chain has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between firms" ambidextrous IT use and supply chain resilience. On the other hand, external integration only partially mediates the relationship between explorative IT use and supply chain resilience. These findings contribute to the existing literature and offer valuable insights into how firms can effectively employ IT strategies to enhance supply chain integration and resilience.
