The need for sustainable and ecologically friendly fuel is increasing along with the global need for energy. In order to develop an alternative to the rapidly diminishing fossil fuels (gasoline and diesel), a variety of oxygenated fuels were explored and tested according to availability based on the geographical areas. Waste fry cooking oil was used to make biodiesel fuel in the current experiment to test its viability. An experimental single-cylinder CI engine running on a biodiesel fuel blend has been studied. The oil is classified as 1 time fry oil, 2 time fry oil and 3 time fry oil. Engine Performance, efficiency and tail pipe emission attributes were evaluated for the six different fuels. The fuel blends used for the experiment was B60 and the load condition of 50% at different engine speed (1200rpm, 1400rpm 1600rpm and 1800rpm). It was discovered that when speed increased, brake thermal efficiency decreased and brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) increased. Brake thermal efficiency (BTE) decreases as engine speed rises due to a poor air-to-fuel ratio at high speeds. As a result, biodiesel blends reduce CO output. Due to the higher density and heating value of the biodiesel fuel, which relies on the blending ratio and the fuel"s frying time, CO2 emissions are higher. With the exception of first fry waste cooking oil biodiesel at 60% mix, maximum test fuels had higher NOx emission levels. All of the blends" smoke opacity has a decreasing tendency with increasing speed and is lower than that of pure diesel. It was found that increasing the fry time changed engine parameters for emissions and performance. The use of sustainable fuel is crucial, and waste cooking oil as a replacement for fossil diesel in the transportation, agriculture industries and robot is a potential option. Alternate fuel could be utilized for power generation to run the robot, making it environment friendly.
