This research aims to develop a basic framework for an integrated humanities therapy model that encourages emotional communication through reading and writing by critically reading picture books and fusing it with expressive writing techniques from an emotional communicative perspective.
The reading analysis material is presented in the form of a picture book, using both images and text, making it an important resource for studying nonverbal and verbal emotional communication. The writing techniques utilized in this research include those of James Pennebaker"s expressive writing and Catherine Adams" journal therapy.
To achieve integration of text reading and writing, this research explores the expression of emotions, identification of their triggers, and establishment of relationships with entities expressing certain emotions by fusing textual thought-provoking questions and expressive writing. Furthermore, it investigates the active understanding of emotions and the relationship between emotions and desires according to Spinoza"s philosophy.
