Report Errors
While working as a substitute teacher at Yecheon Jibo Public School, Jang Hyuk-Ju witnessed the miserable life that farmers suffered during the drought disaster and wrote “Agwido”. It was published in the Japanese magazine “Gaejo”. Japanese government erased most parts of farmer’s resistance against Japan and Japanese government torturing farmers. Director ×× colluded with the Japanese authorities to oppress and exploit colonial farmers. Here, the labor management conflict is connected to the ethnic conflict, a conflict between the ××(Japanese) director and the Korean workers. The last part shows the appearance of Joseon farmers resisting Japanese power and people standing up to injustice. Here, it shows a fellow traveler who sympathizes with the socialist class struggle.
