The purpose of this study is to confirm the change in the feeling state of lower elementary school students according to their participation in outdoor physical activities. To this end, 29 students were allowed to participate in outdoor physical activities under the guidance of their homeroom teacher by using a break time for a month (20 days excluding weekends). A paired sample-test was conducted to compare the feeling state when participating in outdoor physical activities and the feeling state when not participating. In addition, through interviews, we tried to understand the feeling state of elementary school students in detail. The conclusions drawn through this study are as follows. First, in the month of not participating in outdoor physical activities, students’ feeling state was highest when they left school, and in the month of physical activities, they were highest immediately after physical activities. Second, it was found that feeling state and physical arousal had a high correlation. Third, the feeling state and physical arousal of the month of outdoor physical activity were higher than that of the previous month when they did not participate in physical activity. Fourth, students’ feeling state was found to be affected by academies, homework, friendships, and relationships with parents, and they experienced fun, improvement of friendships, self-efficacy, and vitality through outdoor physical activities. Through this study, the importance of outdoor physical activity was emphasized in leading a pleasant life for lower elementary school students.
