This paper pursues to explore imagination that is the essential human capacity in the interdisciplinary way and to integrate it from the perspective of Christian education. For this I investigated the diverse meanings that imagination bears from the perspective of art, science, philosophy, religion, and education. Then I presented the paradigm of Christian education through imagination in order to dialogue deeply from the religious educational viewpoint. I theorized this frame of pedagogy through imagination in my dissertation and have developed consistently through the conversation with various scholars and subjects since then. Further, I reviewed the diverse meanings of imagination that I explored before in the view of Christian educational paradigm through imagination. Imagination is an essential human capacity that is more emphasized in the 4th industrial era in which "fusion" or "superfusion" is stressed. As Kant understands imagination as "the power of making one," (Einbildungskraft) the integrating power of imagination resonates to the spirit of the 4th industrial era. Further, this paper seeks to elicit the broader implications of imagination through investigating the various meanings from the interdisciplinary viewpoint. I hope that this paper will contribute to build the more creative and vivid teaching-learning process through activating the dynamics of imagination.
