This study aimed to overcome a particular issue in the current field of hair design which is how professionalism of hair designers in relation to hair design had been evaluated not by some systematic scale considering special field of the hair designers but by other scale revised or re-constructed scales from different fields. In regard to a research method, this study used a revised Delphi method and, a total of 30 individuals consisting of 15 field experts and 15 professional instructors participated in the research. SPSS 20.0 was applied to analyze statistics and in order to confirm the validity of the Delphi research. The researcher confirmed the validities of a definition of expertise and definitions of subarea. Based on the concepts validities, this study carried out an analysis on indicators of every expertise areas and came up with questions to measure expertise. The questions were intensively discussed by 4 experts. Findings gained from the third Delphi research presented even higher levels of the statistical validities compared to those of the first and the second Delphi researches. Since this outcome was systematically developed by special indicators in the field of hair design, this study assumes that it will make greater contribution to these researches on expertise of hair designers than other somewhat comprehensive, redundant rating scales of expertise would, which had been revised and re-constructed based on questions to evaluate expertise in different fields.
