The purpose of this thesis is to understand the connection pattern of grammar education by comparing the contents on ‘word-formation’ among the contents of elementary, middle, and high school grammar education in the 2015 revised Korean language curriculum. In order to critically examine the differences and problems in grammatical interpretation, the contents of the textbook were analyzed in detail. The main explanations of this paper are as follows. There are only two contents on word formation in elementary, middle, and high school: "How to make words" (Korean language for grades 5-6), "Structure of words, formation of new words" (Language and Media). In other words, in grades 1-3 of middle school and first grade of high school, students do not learn how to form words. Therefore, if students do not choose "language and medium", they learn "how to form words" only in elementary school, which can lead to serious deficits in word learning. In addition, it was found that there was a problem with the connection in grammar education in elementary and high schools: because the explanations of the concepts of 'compound words and derivative words', the classification of 'simple words and complexd words' were different.
