Serious Games represent a global substitute for the traditional plays in the role of cognitive and emotional development of children. Today serious games can promise children to enhance various cognitive abilities. But systematical investigation about measuring or enhancing emotional abilities such as emotional intelligence using Serious Games was rarely executed. Then, the present study try to investigate how it is possible to measure emotional intelligence utilizing Serious Game. For the goal, we developed a serious game for measuring emotional identification that is one of sub-factors of emotional intelligence and analyzed the correlation between the score of the game and children's emotional intelligence. The results showed that there was no significant correlation between children's emotional intelligence and game scores that required cognitive ability like selective attention or digit span but the significant correlation between children's emotional intelligence and the game scores based on correct response to emotional face. This result indicates that Serious Game can be used as a tool for measuring emotional intelligence. Furthermore, several issues about Serious Game for a measuring and enhancing children's emotional competences was discussed.
