The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between the social support of private culinary school's culinary training students and their influence on career preparation behavior and job confidence, and to examine the mediating effect of career preparation behavior. The questionnaire to achieve the purpose of this study was conducted for students who are currently taking cooking classes at culinary education institutes in Jeonju, Yeosu, Mokpo, and Naju, centering on Gwangju. The survey response was conducted with a total of 228 copies by visiting each culinary academy and obtaining the consent of the education manager and management. The implications of this study through the hypothesis test results are as follows. First, the adolescent period has a strong tendency to trust and depend on parents, so parental support is the most necessary support to increase the goal of career preparation behavior. Encouragement and advice are judged to be essential social support. Second, as a result of the mediating effect of career preparation behavior on social support and job confidence, it was proven that career preparation behavior is a variable that positively affects job confidence under the influence of parental support. Therefore, it is necessary to increase students' self-confidence in employment by activating programs linked to various parents.
