This study examined the prevalence of general characteristics, health behaviors, physical activities on adult men and women according to dyslipidemia diagnosis criteria, the data based on the 2016-2019 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The subjects were selected adult men and women between the ages of 19 and 65, and they were classified into abnormal, borderline, permissible groups according to the diagnostic criteria for dyslipidemia, and then their general characteristics, health behaviors, and physical activity were examined. For data processing, the general linear model was used for continuous data, and the Rao-Scott Chi-square test was performed for categorical data. As a result, the proportion of men in the abnormal group was about 16%p higher than that of women. In general characteristics, both men and women showed significant differences in age, marital status, economic activity, and educational background. As for health behavior, the higher the risk of dyslipidemia, the higher the rate of current smoking and drinking in men. Lastly, as for the level of aerobic physical activity, both men and women showed a low rate of physical activity of 150 min/wk or more in the abnormal group, and according to the blood concentration level, there was a statistically significant difference in aerobic physical activity, muscle exercise, walking, and sitting time for men. Although there was a difference, there was a statistically significant difference only in aerobic physical activity and muscle exercise in women. In conclusion, since there are differences in physical characteristics, health behaviors, and physical activity according to the level of dyslipidemia in adult men and women, it is recommended to prepare a management plan in consideration of the characteristics of the target according to the stage of the disease.
