There was a tendency to look critically at modern industrial civilization through the tragedy of the corona pandemic, but since then inflation has become a global economic problem, each country is seeking solutions as national responses. For example, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is the US’s response. However, in the case of emerging and underdeveloped countries with financial difficulties, it is difficult to devise policy alternatives. One of the new alternatives to this situation is the 5G service. Based on this, a new industry/economy/culture model, a new ecosystem, and a platform model can be an alternative.
With the beginning of the 5G era, the composition of the high-speed Internet network and the existing 3G and 4G services can be provided at a lower cost, and the overall Internet service can be developed. In addition, due to the development of non-face-to-face services due to the corona pandemic, delivery services are activated in Mexico. Above all, the delivery service is a new opportunity for the poor who are unemployed due to the corona pandemic, because they can start without any special capital. Mexico, one of the major tourism powers, has been able to solve the problem of increased unemployment due to the corona pandemic, with delivery services. However, as emphasized, Mexico has a very close relationship with the United States and Canada in the information and communication field. If Mexico"s 5G network is built with Huawei technology, Mexico may act as a backdoor. Relying only on foreign technology for the country-centric communication network can be problematic in the current era of trying to switch from free trade to protectionism. In this situation, the Korean export model is probably the case of local government currency and the delivery app “Delivery Express” operated by Gyeonggido. The central or local government-led economic stimulus package through local government currency will be an alternative to emerging countries in the era of inflation.
