During the second semester of 2021, a course involving blended learning, a mixture of real-time classes, recorded lectures, and online platforms (Padlet and Google Docs), as well as three areas and activities, was conducted through non-face-to-face classes at University C located in Gwangju Metropolitan City. This study analyzes learner satisfaction in these classes.
A key factor of the lesson design was ensuring students’ active participation and the autonomous learning of learners, as well as the close connection of the three areas and activities of real-time classes, recorded lectures, and online platforms.
To this end, students’ activities were partially reflected in their scores, and real-time and recorded lectures were linked at the beginning and end of classes. Autonomous learning was achieved through the high access frequency per assignment of students.
Responses to the satisfaction survey of online platform activities were given by 9 students from Padlet (47.4%) and 7 students from Google Documents (36.8%).
Among the 19 respondents, 17 (89.5%) answered that they did not know about the online platform before these classes. Moreover, 9 (47.4%) learners answered “strongly yes” and another 9 (47.4%) learners answered “yes” when asked whether they would be willing to participate in classes using the online platform in the future. This survey confirms that learners showed a highly positive response to online classes using blended learning.
