The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the parent-child play interaction and other parent-related factors such as parents’ positive beliefs on play, parents’ participation time on play, and demographical factors regarding parents and children. Based on the analysis, the research’s purpose was to identify the parent-related factors that estimate parent-child play interaction. The parent-child play interaction scale was used to measure the extent of play interaction performed, applied to 430 parents with age 0-6 children. T-test, Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA), and multiple regression analysis were performed in the analysis. The results are as follow. First, parents perform the interaction related to social-emotional development factor and physical development factor most, whereas creativity development factor is performed less likely compared to other development factors. Second, the analysis between parent-child play interaction and various demographical factors shows that the mother’s age, the average monthly income of a household, and the single/dual-income of households have significant differences among groups. Last, the multiple regression analysis on the factors shows that parents’ positive beliefs on play are affected most on all the development factors and total scores. Mother’s age and the average monthly income also affect several development factors, whereas the parents’ participation in six types of play affects each development factor differently.
