In this study, under the free agent system when professional volleyball was founded, the team performance was influenced by the ability of foreign players because of the high dependence on foreign players. In order to solve this problem, the tryout system was introduced, and it was conducted to check whether the dependence on foreign players was lowered according to the purpose of the tryout system and whether the team ranking was decided by the foreign players. For this purpose, for the professional volleyball V-League matches, the women"s tryout system started from the 2015-16 season, so a total of 48 season records were analyzed in four post seasons, and the men"s four seasons before and after the 2016-1017 season A total of 54 season records were included as the subject of this study. As a result, both men"s and women"s teams decreased their dependence on attack before and after the tryout system. In the women"s division, both before and after the system, the performance of foreign players did not affect the team performance. Therefore, in view of these results, it can be said that the tryout system was introduced for the purpose of preventing the phenomenon of concentration on foreign players.
