This paper attempted to newly classify adnominal clauses through two criteria. So far it is understood that adnominal clause can be dualized into relative clause and complement clause. In this study, we are against that kind of understanding. So, finiteness, which is morpho · syntactic criterion is adopted as the first criterion. Accordingly, we can get two adnominal clauses, non-finite clause and finite clause. And we set up semantic criterion that the adnominal clause is event representation or proposition representation. Originally, it is unmarked that that non-finite clause represents event, and finite clause represents proposition. However, there are cases where it goes against this, so both criteria are needed. Therefore, event representation non-finite clause and proposition representation finite clause of unmarked adnominal clauses, event representation finite clause, which is very rare, and proposition representation non-finite clause, which is pretty common are derived. So called ‘the third adnominal clauses’ are classified as event representation non-finite clause with relative clauses. It is because that relative clause and so called ‘the third adnominal clauses’ are same in that they all take the form of non-finite clause and represent an event. For the study, this paper has reviewed the research on adnominal clause, and in particular criticized the terminology of "보문", "완형 보문", and "불구 보문". There are no merits when we use the term of complement clause for adnominal clause, however, we can increase the utility when we use the term of adnominal clause for adnominal clause which is considered as intuitive terminology.
