This study attempted to confirm the effect of tourism experience on the Generativity and Ego-resilience.
As a result of empirical analysis, it was confirmed that tourism experience (social exchange, self-improvement, and self-determination) has a statistically significant predictive power in Generativity (personal generation, community generation) and Ego-resilience. In addition, the sense of generation (personal generation, community generation) also appears to have statistically significant predictive power in self-regeneration, which can be interpreted as having a positive effect on self-regeneration. Thus, this implies that the generation and Ego-resilience formed through personal life history relates to satisfying roles. These findings have academic significance in newly establishing the positive value of tourism.
It also suggests the need to develop leisure and tourism activity programs related to the psychological recovery of middle-aged people who can experience internal conflicts due to menopause and depression, and that they can become a blue ocean market for the new tourism industry, not strangers experiencing social solitude.
