This study investigated to explore the factors influencing the North Korean Refugees’ multicultual receptivity comparing to the South Korean’s and find the implications for social integration after reunification of Korea. For the purpose, 273 North Korean defectors and 440 South Koreans completed a questionnaire including background variables like sex, age, SES, multicultural receptivity, realistic conflict perception, Korean identity, and the level of contact to the multicultural groups. The results revealed that for the North Korean defectors, realistic conflict perception was the most strong factor, but, for the South Koreans, Korean identity was the most strong factor to the multicultural receptivity. This results show the implication that realistic conflict perception can be a stronger factor rather than Korean identity influencing on the multicultural receptivity of North Korean after reunification of Korea.
