This study focuses on the fact that ‘Pungnyu’ is one of the most Korean spiritual ideas, even if thinkers of the modern era failed in explaining the spiritual culture of our ancient idea called ‘Pungnyu’ into a new cultural movement of the 21st century. Just as the Western Renaissance movement expanded into the global village through the local cultural movement of Florence, the ‘Pungnyu’ literature of Jeongeup provides a new vision for future literature as the main source of Korean culture. The prototype of Jeongeup’s Pungnyu culture stemmed from the dance and singing of primitive Jecheon rites held in May and October of the primitive period, they have been developed and divided into the idea of life connecting God, man, and nature. In the process. “Jeongeupsa”, a folk song, was chosen as the royal court music of the Silla Dynasty, and was used as the royal music of the Joseon Dynasty as well as dance and drum of the Goryeo Dynasty. Also, ‘Mysterious truth’and ‘Poongryudo(philosophy)’, known as Choe Chi-won’s the three religions, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism greatly contributed to the Pungnyu literature of Jeongeup. This resulted in the creation of Jikji, which contained about 100 poems by Bae Un-kyung Han during the Goryeo Dynasty, and furthermore, ‘Sangchunkok (Song of spring)’by Jeong Kuk-in, ‘Amyunsoon(Satire on humor and sex)’by Song Se-rim, ‘Meet Yi and Ki(real thing or real material)’ by Lee Hang during the Joseon Dynasty. This style of Pungnyu culture and literature is reformed another thoughts of heaven, earth, and man by Choi Je-woo. It ignited the peasant revolution called Donghak. Furthermore, Kang Il-soon, a great thinker of modern times,expanded and diffused the new ideas in East Asia that can transform the world into a place like heaven. In this regard, the Pungnyu literature in Jeongeup is a cultural asset that surpasses Italian Florence. Therefore, writer of this paper hope that many people will make efforts to ensure that the literature of the Jeongeup area goes beyond the heritage of local culture to be respected as a nationwide, Korean and global culture.
