The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze architecture between Kim Soo-geun and Frank Lloyd Wright by focusing on Space Group Building and V.C. Morris Gift Shop, and to review the value and meaning of Kim Soo-geun's architectural works in Korean contemporary architecture. At the same time, in this study, a new perspective on the changes and developing process of the 20th century Korean contemporary architecture was suggested from the 21st century point of view. The findings of this study were summarized as follows: Firstly, semi-circular entrance placed at the old building of Space Group had such a possibility that the entrance of V.C. Morris Gift Shop was an inspiration to it. Secondly, although circular lamp was not placed at the new building of Space Group unlike the central space of V.C. Morris Gift Shop, the void central space of the new building showed a similar feature with V.C. Morris Gift Shop in space planning. Thirdly, it seemed that the new building of Space Group was influenced by Corbusier and its old building was done by Wright, but Kim Soo-geun's sole architectural languages were completed by linking the new building with the old building on the whole and showing the spatial features of Korean traditional architecture. Fourthly, prior to Space Group Building, the courtyard or atrium of apartments including Sewoonsangga among Kim Soo-geun's architectural works were influenced by Wright's architecture. Lastly, regarding the layout of land, Wright's Marin Civic Center showed elevated pedestrian deck which was also shown from Sewoonsangga, so the mutual relationship between Wright's Marin Civic Center and Sewoonsangga was estimated.
