The Perfected Body Assembly, the first and central group in the nine assemblies that comprise the Vajradhātu-maṇḍala, also known as karma assembly and foundational assembly, is composed of the five dhyānibuddhas, that is, Mahāvairocana, Akṣobhya, Ratnasaṃbhava, Amitâbha, and Amoghasiddhi. First of all, the four gathering bodhisattvas give sacrifices to Mahāvairocana through the four pāramitā bodhisattvas, Mahāvairocana repays the sacrifice to the four gathering bodhisattvas as the four inner offering Bodhisattvas. Next, the four gathering bodhisattvas give sacrifices to Mahāvairocana as the four outer offering Bodhisattvas, Finally, Mahāvairocana repays the sacrifice to the four gathering bodhisattvas as the four gathering bodhisattvas. Mutual sacrifices of the five dhyāni-buddhas are very important in the Vajradhātu-maṇḍala. Such mutual offerings can also be applied to Buddhist counseling. It is possible to apply the philosophy and practice of the relationship that the counselor becomes the client, the client becoming the counselor, in mutual acceptance and respect toward each other by the exchanges of their roles. The repetitive process of the client becoming the counselor and the counselor becoming the client becomes a modeling process in order to make the client into a better counselor. In this way, the concept of the mutual sacrifices in the Vajradhātu-maṇḍala could be sought as a theoretical method of Buddhist counseling.
