This paper intends to raise the understanding of Korean War, which is the main cause of Cold War in the Korean Peninsula that has been lasting over 70 years. This paper takes a look at various theories about the origin of Korean War and researches defining the nature of the war. The various discussions of Korean War continue because the war was halted in an ambiguous situation, the truce. Also, recently the issue concerned with the declaration for the complete cease-fire of the war is being held actively. Therefore, this paper insists the necessity of the joint research of South and North Korea, such as the research on Korean War as the process toward the cease-fire.
