In the case of modern society, consumption of unhealthy foods is increasing due to changes in food consumption in accordance with various demographic variables, such as simplified food consumption and increased frequency of eating out. In order to prevent societal loss due to diseases related to the health and eating habits of people, various regulations or legislations to reduce unhealthy foods are being implemented in countries around the world including Korea. This study analyzes the propensity and characteristics of consumers who consume unhealthy foods using the multiple regression analysis method. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that in the case of demographic factors, the number of household members, age group, residential area, and the presence of diseases all have an effect on unhealthy food consumption. These results were obtained while considering the demographic factors and lifestyles of consumers who consume unhealthy food.
