The science museum periodically redesigns its exhibitions to cope with the aging of the exhibits and rapidly changing science and technology. It is necessary to analyze the quality of existing exhibitions before coming up with plans for new ones. This kind of analysis helps to enhance the competitiveness of the science museum’s exhibitions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the competitiveness of this exhibition based on the satisfaction level of visitors and to provide the basic data necessary for improvements. Using survey results, the current status of the exhibition’s competitiveness was evaluated by employing a revised IPA (importance performance analysis). Moreover, there were significant implications regarding the quality competitiveness of the 2rd quadrant, which requires urgent improvement. This study intends to improve understanding of the survey results by visualizing the analysis results through an IPA Matrix. Furthermore, the quality of the exhibits located in each quadrant was compared to the characteristics of those exhibits (visitors behavior, exhibition experience method), and a direction for improvement for the exhibition hall was presented. Finally, the results can provide the managers of the science museum with quantitative data for increasing the competitiveness of exhibition.
