<Gyomanheungjeon> is a Korean classical novel in the Hangeul Museum. <Gyomanheungjeon> consists of the story of the scholar Gyomanheung, who married BuYeogyeong and had heroic abilities with the help of the gods of Taoist, saving the country by eliminating the traitor who caused the rebellion, and finding his wife and son who had been kidnapped and ever after enjoying the live in splendor. <Gyomanheungjeon> brought the name of the character and the story of the first part of the novel from <Morandeunggi(牡丹燈記)>, which is contained in 『Jeondeungsinhwa(剪燈新話)』. The literary meaning of <Gyomanheungjeon> can be found in the fact that the meaning and direction of the work were created completely differently, even though it was influenced by <Morandeunggi>. The creator of <Gyomanheungjeon> was not satisfied with the reader who sympathized with the decision of the monk “Cheolgwan(철관)” in <Morandeunggi>. He became an active creator and created a character named Kyomanheung and Buyeogyeong, who were wary of desires and faithfully protected Confucian ideology, and a narrative that matched them. Thus, Gyomanheung changed the character and function completely, as the winner of war from a scholar blind to a beauty, BuYeogyeong from a demon to a noble woman cared for by the gods, and Geumryeon was not a weird thing but a wise and loyal maid. <Gyomanheungjeon> completely erased the ghosts and monsters that appeared in <Morandeunggi>. And it was newly created by presenting the narrative of a woman (BuJupan) under the influence of a head of household with a novel ability. In order to increase popular interest, <Gyomanheungjeon> was introduced to famous works such as <Sukyangjeon> and <Guunmong(九雲夢)>, and the theme of the work was transformed into Confucian ideology, unlike <Morandeunggi>.
