Regarding the effects of nuclear power plants on the location, there seems to be a conflict between the positive opinion of the regional activation theory and the negative opinion of the time-limited nature of the nuclear power plant effect. The former is a position where the nuclear power plant contributes greatly to the economic and financial growth of the region, and the latter is a position where such effects are only a temporary boom. In this paper, a case study of Mihama Town in Fukui Prefecture was conducted, and a dynamic study was conducted on the impact of nuclear power generation on the local economy and finances. As a result of the analysis, we could see that Mihama Town's economy and finances are strongly influenced by the location of the nuclear power plant. In Mihama Town, the influence of the nuclear power plant is greatly expressed in terms of employment structure and gross domestic product. In addition, we were able to see the economy being more revitalized than in other regions. The existence of the nuclear power plant has greatly contributed to the financial expansion of Mihama Town. The proportion of local taxes in revenues is much higher than in other regions, and financial soundness is maintained at a higher level.
