Since ancient times, agriculture has always been the root profession of the Vietnamese people. Agriculture influences and has a close relationship with the fields of industrial economy, trade and services, while shaping national cultural identity. Agriculture is not only closely linked to farmers and rural areas, but also has a profound impact on urban areas and other social strata in Vietnam. The thought of "shallow agriculture" seems to become a consistent thought of feudal dynasties in our country. Until the French colonialists completed the invasion and colonized exploitation, agriculture remained the main economic sector of Vietnam. The colonial state still attaches great importance to and pays special attention to investment in capital, technology ... as well as other policies to turn agriculture into a key exploitation field. Hanam is a province in the Red River Delta, where rice farming plays a major role in agricultural production. After the invasions, pacification of the French colonialists, the plantations did not stop growing and existed until 1945 (mostly French plantations). Bovines, cows, and coffee are the livestock, planted mainly in plantations. The maintenance and continual expansion of the crop (especially coffee), the livestock in the French plantations, has proved and is quite sure of its effectiveness. Area, output, quantity, value of crops and livestock in plantations only decline significantly when being negatively affected by the world economic crisis in 1929. These are information. References and suggestions necessary for the government of Ha Nam province to promote the development of agricultural economy in the province today.
