A number of research institutes have conducted empirical analysis of performance evaluations on the effect of support for SMEs that have supported policy finance on a regular basis. The results of previous studies were different for each study, and contradictory results were also found. This study proposed a research model through the literature of previous studies related to performance evaluation. As a result of analyzing two cases among the preceding studies, the results of the performance evaluation were also different, and the reason was analyzed to be due to the difference in the statistical analysis methods and the performance indicators applied to evaluate the support performance. Recently, the environment of policy financial services focuses on supporting the marginalized areas of the general private financial market, and focuses on the goals of revitalizing the startup ecosystem, supporting the growth of innovative companies, and strengthening public and social safety nets. This study tried to suggest the need for improvement of the performance evaluation method suitable for the purpose of policy finance according to the change of the policy financial service environment, and the improvement plans to improve the performance of SMEs after policy finance support.
