In this study, we investigated the effect of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (DHB) isolated from Polysiphonia morrowii Harvey against photodamages in ultraviolet B (UVB)- irradiated human keratinocytes and its biological mechanism. The result showed DHB reduced the generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) without the cytotoxicity at the used all concentrations in UVB-irradiated human keratinocytes.
