The purpose of this study is to investigate the depressive activity and mechanism by the ethyl acetate fraction (EA) of cannabinoids-rich hemp seeds in a mouse model of depression caused by unpredictable chronic mild stress (UCMS). Animals induced depression with UCMS for 9 weeks. Depression-related behavioral changes were measured by video tracking analysis. Stress hormone concentration was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)-signaling-related protein expression was measured by western blotting.
