Sarcopenic obesity is a new class of obesity in older adults with low skeletal muscle mass coupled with high levels of adiposity. Natural product "C" used in this experiment contains a large amount of flavon luteolin and apigenin, and its efficacy on sarcopenic obesity is unknown. Therefore, to evaluate the efficacy of natural product C in sarcopenic obesity, C57BL/6J mice were fed a normal diet, high-fat (HFD, 45 kcal% fat), or HFD+0.1%(w/w) C diet for 20 weeks.
