The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of ‘Human development and family’ domain in middle school Technology-Home Economics textbooks under the 2015 revision curriculum based on the targets of K-SDGs. The major findings were as follows. First, all contents of the ten textbooks of five publishers, such as texts, photographs/figures/tables, activity tasks, supplementary materials and evaluation were analyzed against 10 targets of K-SDGs 20. The number of ‘Human development and family’ contents among the ten textbooks of five publishers varied from 210 to 343, and especially the number of contents related to K-SDGs 20 targets varied from 129 to 242 by publishers. Second, there were differences in the focused K-SDGs targets depending on the units of ‘Human development and family’ domain. Each of units had core KSDGs, such as, K-SDGs 3-2 in the ‘characteristics of adolescents’ unit, K-SDGs 5-1 in the ‘sex and friendships of the youth’ unit, and K-SDGs 10-2 in the ‘changes in family and heathy family’ and ‘family relationship and communication’ unit. In conclusion, the contents of the ‘Human development and family’ domain were related to broad range of K-SDGs targets. These results showed that it is possible to achieve K-SDGs in the practical home economics education by making full use of various K-SDGs related textbook contents.
