This study was to examine the antioxidation in vitro and hepatoprotective effects of fermented Pueraria lobata against alcohol-induced liver damage in mice. To evaluate the phytochemicals in fermented and unfermented Pueraria lobata extracts, total phenol content and flavonoids were determined as per standard protocols. The antioxidant activity of the extracts was estimated via 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging, 2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical, reducing power and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP).
